First of all, I'd like to send prayers and positive thoughts to those in Houston. Please stay safe.
It's always hard to start writing about fashion and styling when there's other serious things going on in the world. I have friends and family in Houston, Dallas and Austin so it was worrisome to hear about the flooding. I'm glad you're all safe.
Today's post will be about my summer staples and how I styled them. I hope you enjoy!

What I Wore: Top: Banana Republic | Clutch: Melie Bianco | Heels: Steve Madden | Jacket: Forever 21 | Sunnies: Zero UV
Fashion Tip: One of my favorite items to have in my closet is a good cami tank. They're the easiest article of clothing to layer and depending on how deep the plunge of the neckline is, it can be very sexy as well. For this outfit, I added a denim jacket for a casual feel and honestly I get cold so easily I always need a light jacket.
I've been loving light and neutral colors lately so I paired this green cami top with white jeans and nude heels. I could've easily paired this top with leggings or denim jeans but white just seemed more spring time fresh! Also, this bamboo clutch is all the rage right now so I definitely had to add that accessory to tie the outfit together.
When shopping for cami's fit and flare are very important to me. I like to look for loose fitting tops with length that hits just below the waistline. I like to half tuck my tops. When a cami is too short, it always throws off the proportions. The BR top that I'm wearing in this post is super cute because it's tiered and has a nice little flare at the end. The floral print is perfect for a seasonal transition with an added knit cardigan or coat so I'm looking forward to repeating this outfit again.
Items on heavy rotation this summer: this green cami top, bamboo clutch & reflective sunnies. I literally cannot go wrong with these items. All easily styled, easily worn and easily transitioned. The top can be worn with leggings, denim jeans, a skirt or shorts. It can be layered with a jacket, duster or flannel. The sunnies aren't too feminine or too edgy and the bag is fun and flirty - perfect for summer.
With everything that has been going on in life, I just want to take a moment to be thankful for every blessing I have and that there isn't anything more I can ask for. Thank you for reading!
