Can you believe it's February of 2017 already!?! I'm still messing up and writing 2016 on everything. I seriously need to wrap my head around the fact that we're in the start of a brand new year. You know what that means! New resolutions, new trends, new to-do lists, new goals, new wants, new styles...etc. So, Banana Republic poses the question - "What Moves Us?" What moves you? What moves you emotionally, physically, mentally? Is it fashion? Travel? Career? I'm sure we all think about these things throughout the day. Why don't you think about that while I talk more about this new outfit I'm posting about.

Fashion Tip: Office style that works for me: minimalism. I try to keep things as simple as possible for the office... only because that's literally the easiest way to go. I like a lot of neutral items so the beige top and tan tote are major must haves because you can style that 100 different ways with different pants, skirts and blazers. Always pick items that you can layer and work into multiple outfits. If it's a one time wear, don't buy it.
So, what moves you? This year I have a lot of travel planned. My boyfriend and I will be in Aspen, Paris, London and possibly China. That just covers the first half of the year. We haven't made any concrete plans for the end of the year yet, but when it's all booked, I'll add it into a post! Some work, some play but either way, all around fun. We're movers and shakers so it's always an adventure with him. I just have to be able to balance and manage my work schedule with the constant traveling. Some new things for the Spring that I've incorporated into my wardrobe and my suitcase are all versatile and of course flattering pieces.
1. Trench coat - This will be my go-to in Europe because it'll still be pretty cold when I go in March. It's a lightweight all around jacket that is slim fit and classic looking.2. Trousers - Much like the ones I'm wearing in this blog post. They're easy to wear, breathable material and moves with you. Trust me, you know what I'm talking about. I really can't wear pants that are too tight and the material is super stiff and it's just all around uncomfortable. These pants are extremely versatile and can be worn with heels or loafers and still have a very well put together look.
3. Midi dress - These days, you can pair just about anything with great sneakers and get that "model off-duty" look. Pack a pair of heels for a day to night quick change. Add a trench for the lady like vibe or a moto-jacket for a more edgy feel. Like I mentioned in my tip, stock up on staples that are versatile and good for layering.
That's all for now ladies and gents! Thanks for following me on my life and fashion adventures. I'll definitely keep you posted on all travels!
