HOLIDAY GLAM

Happy holidays everyone! I'm not sure about you but every year I feel as if there is an event every weekend. Between family gatherings and holiday events, I feel like there is something to do all the time. It's a good thing I love collecting dresses. Just because. I feel like you can't go wrong with having a dress for every occasion. Sounds excessive, I know, but hey. I don't feel bad when I have backup dresses literally at any given time lol. I stay ready! HAHA. Anyhow. My girlfriend Malisa literally introduced me to a new line I had no idea existed and I'm so glad she did. It's called THEE GIRL. Totally not getting paid to write these words right now. It was just a nice brand that had dresses I totally like so I want to let you guys know. I have a few dresses from them so you'll see what I mean. Trust. You'd blog these dresses just because if you had them.

Fashion Tip: Winter style. Add a [faux] fur coat to any outfit for an insta-glam look.

HOLIDAY STYLE WITH BANANA REPUBLIC

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays for many reasons. I love all the lights, decorations and holiday music. Most of all, I love that it brings friends and families together. The holiday season puts most people in a positive mood and joyful spirit. You can't help but love this time of year. Fashion Tip: Tip for outfit #1 - Don't be afraid to mix textures and prints. It took me a long time to try velvet again because it's not always flattering on me but when I tried on this velvet blazer, it was so well fitted that the velvet didn't impact how it looked on me. Tip for outfit #2 - I loveeeee matching whites and tans. It is such a clean and crisp look. This season is all about layering so it is important to find great pieces that you can layer. My silk blouse is so comfortable and I love that the material is so light that it doesn't feel bulky when I add layers to it.

Velvet and burgundy are both great trends this season. I like to shop velvet dresses and burgundy blouses lately so I can have a good mix of both. I love burgundy for this season because it's the more muted cousin of red which can sometimes be too bold for some people. The neutral minimalist look is a timeless style that can be worn throughout the year. I love a good camel coat and clean white pants. Both are also great items to have in your closet. Both the velvet blazer and silk blouse are easily paired with other outfits, so I've had such an easy and fun time styling them. I hope you enjoyed both looks that I styled for Banana Republic.

SWEATER (DRESS) WEATHER

It's my favorite time of the year! We officially kicked off the holiday season! Thanksgiving is around the corner and that leads to Christmas, New Years then Valentine's Day. It's back to to back celebrations and quality time spent with friends and family. I love the decorations, the food and the festivities. It's such an exciting time. One of my favorite things about Fall/Winter fashion is layering outfits, booties and all sorts of knits and sweaters.

HASHTAG SWEATER WEATHER

Fashion Tip: I'm really liking cabby hats and berets this season. It's a great accessory to have on hand. Also a great way to fix any bad hair day. Black is always easiest to pair so I make sure that is the first color I purchase.

I love this sweater dress oh-so-much. Before actually posting it on the blog, I've probably worn it a dozen times already. With and without a hat, with booties, sandals, sneakers and heels. This sweater dress is so versatile. I didn't realize how many times I've actually worn it out. Lol, I think I need to retire this dress for a few weeks before wearing it again. I've always mentioned in my past posts that I love effortless, throw on outfits and this is literally the epitome of easy breezy. It's cute, comfortable and fashionable.

FALL FLORALS

Sorry for the MIA. I've been experiencing the jet setting life in Asia for my birthday. But now that I'm back and have recovered from my major jet lag, I'm ready to post some of my adventures. I spent 13 days visiting Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taipei and I had the most amazing time. The weather was pretty hot in all 3 countries so I'm glad I had a handful of easy breezy rompers to wear.

P.S. when I say "pretty hot" I mean step outside insta-sweat hot.

What I Wore: Romper: Shop Tobi | Bag: Gucci | Sunnies: Zero UV | Booties: Missguided

Fashion Tip: Even if they tell me rompers are no longer in style, I'm not sure I'll ever stop wearing them. They are literally an insta-outfit. It's the easiest thing to throw on. It's flattering and easily layered. Rompers are easy transition items because of the different cuts, prints and styles that are available.

I wore this little number in Hong Kong. Even though it has long sleeves, the material is super lightweight and very breezy. It was the perfect outfit to walk around and shop in. You know living in OC, I never realized how little I actually WALK. I don't use the metro and I rarely walk to any destination but ever since I started traveling more, I realized how much of a bubble I'm really in. I've gotten to travel here and there within the U.S. and that's great, but seeing how other people around the world live and function is on an entirely different experience. I totally get now why some people get the travel bug and never want to stop.

I have a couple trips lined up before the end of the year, so stay tuned for my next adventures. In the meantime, I'll slowly start posting some travel pics and tips of where to go.

PARISIAN STYLE

It's almost the end of October and we're finally starting to see and feel some Fall weather. Can you believe that we had 100 degree weather this past week? That's insane. But I suppose that's the perk of living in sunny Orange County - it's always sunny! Now that we're slowly getting into the FALL SEASON, lets talk about what some must-have items are!

Fashion Tip: I am a big fan of accessories so adding hats to any outfit is a plus for me. Berets are extremely trendy this season. Berets and cabby hats are great accessories to have and they're inexpensive so it's a fun trendy piece to purchase.

Now that it makes more sense to talk FALL FASHION, lets talk about my top 5 MUST-HAVE items:

1. Nude turtleneck - Nothing is easier to just throw on or layer with than a turtleneck. Def a fave for me during fall/winter.
2. Pencil skirt - I love having a sleek pencil skirt that I can dress up or down. It can be paired with booties (as seen in this post), strappy heels or high boots. It's a great piece to have to mix and match with.
3. Boyfriend blazer - Classic piece that easily transitions through any season.
4. Black booties - Fall is the ultimate boot season. The kitten heel has made it's comeback. Not only is it back in style, but it's comfortable to wear long term. You should 100% have a good pair of black booties on your list.
5. Poncho - Lst but not least is a poncho. This might not be everyone's style, but I am a fan of anything that I can just throw on and walk out the door. I am probably one of the laziest "fashionista's" I've ever met and I dislike outfits that require too much work to maintain. That's where this amazing poncho comes in. It's soft and comfortable and super stylish.

There you have it. My top 5 items that you'll be seeing me wear this Fall. I am currently in love with this gray skirt and red beret combo, so I'm sure I'll be repeating this outfit again. This is the start of the holiday season. Before you know it, it'll be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and then New Years! Time sure does fly. I can't believe we're so close to the end of 2017!

Fashion Tip: Whenever I'm feeling a little wider, bloated and fluffier than usual, I just add a jacket over whatever I'm wearing. And you don't have to actually wear it, just casually leave it on your shoulders.

October is my favorite month because it officially starts feeling like FALL, I love the pumpkin patches and it's my birthday month! It's been a great month of celebrating with friends and family and I'm on an Asia trip with my boyfriend. We're visiting Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taipei before heading back to Orange County. Asia has been amazing so far and I can't wait to share my foodie adventures with you.

BACK TO BLACK

I've always been a fan of anything and all things black, mainly because it makes me feel skinnier, but this is usually around the time that I start wearing darker colors. This Fall I'm obsessing over anything black, burgundy, red and mustard. On a lighter note, I won't stop rocking the rose pinks or rust oranges either. So I guess I'm just going to continue wearing almost all the colors then.

Fashion Tip: Booties for Fall is 100% necessary. Why? Because they go with everything.

So my birthday month is coming up and I'm super excited. My biggest plan this year is going to Asia with my boyfriend. I've never been so I'm pretty pumped to go. We're going to Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taiwan. If you have any recommendations, feel free to leave them in the comments. I've been watching a ton of YouTube videos on where to eat and what to eat. So excited for all the good food that I'll be chowing down on next month. Also, other exciting news. My sister is about to pop out her second kid. I'm going to be an auntie again! Can't wait.

So my plan for Asia is to pack light because I looked up the weather and it's going to be HOT! HOT! HOT! I'm going to pack light dresses, cute rompers and maybe some joggers Either way, I can't wait to soak in all the culture in Asia.
