FLORAL JUMPSUIT

So. I might have a thing for jumpsuits. What can I say?! They're just so easy to wear! I am a sucker for anything that is a stand alone outfit. All I have to worry about is how to accessorize to give it my own personal touch. This floral print jumpsuit is puhh-fect for summer.

Fashion Tip: When I'm feeling a little ballsy and I don't want to take the safe route with neutral tan heels, I like to add a bold color heel to my outfit. Some good colors to try are cobalt blue (like mine), red and white. Every now and then it's good to make a statement with your feet. DO IT.

I've mentioned that I was going to blog more summer styles for you the next couple weeks and I guess that meant more jumpsuits. I didn't plan it that way but I hope you like it anyways. 2 jumpsuit posts in a row for you! Lol, I'll change it to something different next week ok? Apparently, I'm obsessed with jumpsuits. They're just so comfortable and easy to wear. Also, I'll use any excuse to wear my cobalt blue heels. They're not shoes I can wear everyday so this jumpsuit was perfect for them. Summer is my favorite season so I can't wait to post more fun in the sun outfits for you.

Hi everyone! Miss me?! I hope you all had a wonderful 3-day Memorial Day weekend! I spent my MDW working and studying so it was a snooze fest for me. But thank goodness it gave me time to catch up on my life! PHEW. Ok. I know I've been doing a lot of corporate styling on the blog lately so for the next couple weeks, I'll switch it up for you and style some cute and cas outfits just in time for summer! ;)

Fashion Tip: Blue and black make a great color combo.

Today's tip is something that I feel a lot of people need to hear. I've been asked by a lot of people if blue and black go well together and the answer is totally and completely hells yes. It's a more muted combination and not as bold as the red and hot pink combo but it's a combo that will last through the trends. I have always and will always advise anyone and everyone to have fun with fashion. If you like it and you feel hot in it, wear it.

HOUNDSTOOTH DRESS

Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Mother's Day weekend with your family and friends! It's Monday again and you know what that means... back at work and back on the grind. In today's post, I'm styling this houndstooth dress 2 different ways by just adding a few accessories. It's a great way to maximize your wardrobe!

Fashion Tip: In the first outfit, I wore the houndstooth dress by itself with pumps and a Phillip Lim bag. In the second outfit, I added a blazer, thin belt and switched bags. With just 3 different items, it looks like a different outfit.

Monday's can be rough but honestly, having a polished and well put together outfit makes life more bearable. What usually helps me through the day is a strong cup of coffee first thing in the morning, a to-do list of what needs to be done and a really good lunch. Now. Does anyone else wish for Friday to come as soon as Monday is over?!

Dear Monday, I want to break up. I'm seeing Tuesday and dreaming of Friday. Sincerely, it's not me, it's you.

SCALLOP BLAZER

TGIF! Another day at the office means another office style post for you! I've been trying to figure out what works best for a finance professional and I'm thinking a lot of black and white pieces with a good mix of blazers, pencil skirts and structured pants. My work outfits are slowly taking over my closet!

Fashion Tip: I've noticed that in order for me to wear pencil skirts, my tops have to be thin enough to tuck in without it looking super bulky inside my skirt. Because of that I've invested in several light weight tanks that I can layer with a blazer and tuck with no problems.

Thanks to everyone that's been following along on my journey from fashion to finance. It's been an interesting transition. The goal is to look professional but still fashionable. I'm really enjoying the polished and lady like look though so I'm having fun with it. This scallop blazer is starting to become one of my favorite pieces to mix in with my day-to-day and office outfits. I hope you all have a happy Mother's Day weekend with your family and friends! Happy humpday everyone! I feel like I've been trying to catch up on life for the past 2 weeks! When you're busy, time just flies by. I guess that's what happens when you try to balance study, work and blog life. But no complaints. There's never a dull moment in my life and I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm still trying to figure out fashion in the finance world and I'm starting to get the hang of it. Too bad I can't bring bohemian chic into the worksphere lol. That would make my life so much easier! Anyways, there's more fashion and finance coming your way!
