Hello. Hi! How was everyone's weekend?! I hope you had a great time relaxing from a long work week. I sure did. I spent my weekend studying and hanging out with family. I even made time to hike Valido Trail in Laguna Beach on Sunday. Finding balance for everything is typically my daily struggle. Weekends definitely aren't long enough to unwind, but I'll take what I can get. Anyhow, are you ready for today's post?! Fashion Tip: When dressing for the office, I try to keep things as simple as possible. This would include a fitted pair of pants and comfortable pumps.

Fashion Tip: I'm still trying to get a handle on the whole work wear thing so bear with me. I didn't pair this top with any blazers or outerwear because the top itself was already work appropriate. Plus, it's such a cute knotted top and the material was already so thick that it wouldn't make sense to add anything over it. I'm leaning towards fitted skinny pants paired with any kind of pumps. It's much easier to plan my outfits around fitted skinnies.

Fashion Tip: Blazers can make any outfit look more polished and work appropriate. Invest in a few blazers that you can mix into your wardrobe.

I've been mixing a lot of tops from Ro and De into my work outfits because I love the feel of the tops. They're not as thin as my casual outfits and the tanks are perfect to wear under my blazers. It's been a little harder for me to mix and match corporate style into my day to day because I usually like to run around in jeans, a tee and some flats. Office style is a little more structure and a little less cas. Either way, I'm up for the challenge. I can switch the jeans for slacks, flats for pumps and sweaters for blazers!

Fashion Tip: Off the shoulder dresses are really good options for easy, ready-to-wear outfits that you can just throw on.

I can't believe it's already the first day of Spring! I seriously am still trying to catch up on my 2015. Springtime is so pretty in Orange County. The flowers are blooming and there's just so much color everywhere. I've been studying nonstop for my securities license exams so it's been tough to keep up with the blogs, but I'll do my best. This dress was a major deal from my favorite hole-in-the-wall boutique - Fashion Young. They have a lot of trendy pieces for about $10-$15 less than online or at the mall so if you're in the area, you should definitely check it out!

Oh! And since I started working in the corporate world again, I'll be posting a series of 9 to 5 work chic outfits. Stay tuned for more on that next week! :)

I love this dress because it's so different from any other dress I've posted before. I like to switch things up a bit sometimes and try new outfits I wouldn't normally wear. Who doesn't like luscious lips on their body!? ;)

The cut of the dress is quite classic and it's the perfect dinner dress or girls night out kind of dress. I kind of also love even more because I saw so many celebs wearing it lol!

Monday's casual ootd:
Striped top - check.
Bucket bag (that I've been searching everywhere for) - check.
Aviators - check.
Phone in hand - check.
Hot heels - check.
Cooler than cool accessories - check.

Everything I need for that effortless, yet polished outfit. This look can easily transition from day to night. Instead of the heels, I can opt for flats for a more laid back look. To dress it up a little more, I can add a blazer or leather jacket. Easy peasy lemon squeezy yes? ;) Now keep scrolling to see the rest of my outfit. Fashion Tip: Stick with what you know. Even though I love to play around with different styles and trends, I always go back to what I know works for me. I mean, isn't that why everyone has a certain style about them? Something that they're known for?

Nicole Richie is the bohemian goddess, Olivia Palermo is a master of mixing prints and no one does small boobie fashion better than Kate Hudson. Fashion is much easier when you figure out what pieces fit your style best and what works for your body type.
