I've gone through so many hair phases from hair lengths to hair colors and like all other women, I tend to get bored of what I currently have. So. Even though I love my chic short cut, I miss my long locks and thanks to my fab clip-in extensions, I can grow my hair overnight.

Fashion Tip: Today's tip is a hair tip. When you first get your extensions, make sure you take them to your stylist to put in so she can trim and blend them into your hair so it looks more natural.

I'm losing track of my days lately and that's because my daily schedule has been off. But starting Monday, I'm back on that financial track so blogging might be taking a backseat to the corporate world. You do what you gotta! But don't worry, I won't be gone forever. I always talk about recycling and remixing items so that you can maximize your closet and today I'm taking a shirt dress and wearing it 2 ways. Because let's face it, unless we have unlimited funds, it gets really expensive to always have the latest trend in your closet.

Fashion Tip: 1 shirt dress, 2 ways. You can either wear it as a loose flowy dress or tuck it in and wear it as a blouse. #maximizeyourcloset

Some days, you just don't want to wear pants.. and that's totally ok. So on those pants-less days, a shirt dress is PUH-FECT. Throw it on, wear some boots or flats and call it a day. If I could have this top in every color and every print, I don't think I'd ever wear pants again. And FYI - the material on the top in this post is really lightweight and soft. I LOVE IT.

And then, if you want to wear the shirt dress as a top, do a half tuck and let it hang. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy, right? Yes.

Spend wisely and invest in pieces you know will last you through the trends and seasons.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend celebrating Chinese New Years and obsessing over the fashion on the red carpet at the Oscars. I spent the weekend going to the Tet Festival and wrote down some goals and wishes on the wishing tree. Determined to make this year the best year yet!

What I Wore: Matching top and bottom: Light in the box | Sunnies: Zero UV | Shoes: Zara

Fashion Tip: To break from the darker colors of this outfit, I added blush colored sunnies to complete the outfit.

I've been reading a lot of articles about positive thinking and tips on life changes. I'm not sure if it's just turning 30 or the fact that I'm going through a career change that's making me re-evaluate my choices but either way, I'm grateful for it. People always say, "life begins at the end of your comfort zone" and I'm definitely not feeling comfortable these days. Whatever you're going through, I hope you find some peace knowing that you're not alone. When you actually open up and share your feelings with others, you'll be surprised that there's a lot of other people that are going through the same thing.

Fashion Tip: Tying a plaid long sleeve around your waist adds layers to a plain and simple outfit.

You can never have too many tees, tanks or henleys. I seriously live off of them. They're so easy to wear and are a must-have when you want to be stylish on-the-go. When a plain white tee won't do, grab the henley for added style. I really love the Bag Junkies boyfriend tee for the loose fit and graphic print. When I wear my tees, I prefer them to be a little on the relaxed fitted side rather than skin tight. I need to breathe in my clothes. BTW, this isn't a sponsored post. Fashion Tip: Usually when I wear plunging necklines, I like to keep the neck simple. But sometimes, to make it look less bare, I like to add a statement necklace to cover up a bit lol.

I know Valentine's Day is over but you can spread the love year round! I love having girls night. Regardless if you're single, dating or married, women just need more time with their friends than guys do. We eat, we drink, we vent. What I Wore: Flats: Tory Burch via Shopbop.com | Jeans: YMI Jeans | Top: Wildfox | Sunnies: Zero UV

Fashion Tip:: Basic pieces are essential to building a well-rounded wardrobe.

It's hard to believe any woman that says they only wear heels. Seriously, unless you're Victoria Beckham, you're going to need a good, cute and reliable pair of flats to live in. And these Tory Burch Reva Flats are my go-to-live-in-everyday-flats. I have them in 2 colors, black and tan. Both work very well with everything in my closet. I've been thinking if I should add the snakeskin one to my collection but it seemed a bit excessive to have 2 pairs of Tory Burch flats. In any case, today's post is all about B A S I C S.

Here are some of my must-have basic pieces (besides the reva flats - obvi):
1. Loose fitted tank
2. Plaid button down
3. Knitted Sweater
4. White tee, v-neck, long sleeve
5. Distressed Skinny Jeans, or if you're not a skinny jeans kinda gal, then may I suggest the perfect pair of Boot Cut jeans
6. The obvious LBD
7. A classy pair of Pumps
8. A "winter" jacket (that could be moto, trench or pea - whatever you prefer)
9. The I-can-fit-my-life-into-this Tote bag
10. Sunnies that are perfect for your face.

Whoever said being basic was a bad thing?! I'm so Basically Basic. Lol if you actually know what I'm talking about from the Jimmy Fallon song, we're def spirit animals!
