Literally my favorite color combination right now for Fall: burgundy and tan.

Fashion Tip: Tis the season to layer! Turtleneck + jacket. Top + jacket + scarf. Whatever combination works for you, just add it on.

All my favorite things are in this outfit. Currently loving the burgundy and tan colors for the Fall and it's also the best time to wear booties. Zara leather pants with zippers are on repeat and I can't get enough of turtlenecks right now. I guess it works out to wear everything you like for one outfit. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are ready for Christmas! Time is flying by and before you know it, we'll be ringing in 2016!!

SEASON OF CHANGE

During the holidays, everyone is more inclined to do more charitable things, be kind and take action. That's an amazing effort but what's even more amazing are organizations like Season of Change to help remind us to initiate change year round. I was more than honored to be a part of the Season of Change's plight to end human trafficking and raise awareness on the issue.

It's not "an overseas problem", it's an Orange County situation. Here are some shocking stats:

"Since 2004, the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF) has rescued more than 450 victims of human trafficking that include both adults and minors."

Honestly, I had no idea. It's a terrifying thought that this is happening in our backyards. Education is key -- "cast a stone, create a ripple." If you want to make a change, you first need to be a change.

Thank you to OCHTTF, Season of Change and OPM for having me at such an incredible event with so many amazing and influential people. I learned a lot and it opened my eyes to situations and circumstances I wasn't aware about.

Many people asked where my dress was from and yes because this is a fashion blog, I will be talking about FASHION and giving you a tip on what to wear to a cocktail event.

What I Wore: Dress: Lipsy London | Heels: Zara | Clutch: Shop Prima Donna

Fashion Tip: I really didn't know what cocktail attire meant but I usually don't wear floor length gowns unless it's a wedding. So my next best guess was anything just passed the knees. It's classy and as you can see with a little bit of lace and some bare shoulders, the right amount of sexy.

My last note to you isn't just for you. It's something I'm telling myself everyday. Doing what's right shouldn't just be increased during the holidays. It's something we should try to do for ourselves and others everyday. It starts with us. "Be the change you want to see in the world."

PENCIL SKIRTS AND TURTLENECKS

Everyone needs a go-to outfit. I've figured out my go-to outfit for the office. If all else fails go with a pencil skirt and turtleneck. Easy to wear, comfortable and still very polished.

Fashion Tip: Once you know what works for you at the office, stick with it. It'll save you so much time getting ready in the morning.

When the office becomes 99% of your life, you have to start accumulating pieces that lean towards more professional and less trendy. But when you find clothes that are professional AND trendy, well then consider yourself lucky. Turtlenecks pair so well with blazers, slacks and skirts. Definitely consider adding these as layering pieces for the office.

Work hard, play hard.

NEUTRALS AT THE OFFICE

HI EVERYONE! I'm back! Sorry for the lack of posts but it's been super hectic lately. I feel like I've been saying the same thing over and over again but seriously. Transitioning into the financial adviser role while still trying to balance out the blogging life becomes a 24/7 job. Life is good and I can't be happier with my new path but I'm still learning as I go how to maintain everything.

Anyways. Today's blog post is bringing neutrals into the office. Enjoy!

Fashion Tip: White x tan look really good together.

It's finally fall weather in OC so it's been fun to layer again. I get to break out the coats, scarves, furs and boots. It's a little harder to layer my office clothes but this camel coat from Forever 21 literally goes with everything and still looks professional. Lately all my purchases have to be able to transition from office wear to street wear so I get the most use out of it.

WEDDING READY WITH EVER PRETTY

This year has definitely been wedding season for me! I have 4 weddings this month alone to attend, 1 in November and 1 in January. I've gone to three already in October and have one more on Halloween! I'll be posting my wedding outfits for the rest of this month. My current fave is this gorgeous illusion sleeve gown.

Love is in the air. I love love. I love weddings and seeing how happy everyone is. It's like the best thing ever. You get dolled up, dressed up, eat great food, drink endless alcohol and celebrate with all your friends and family. Besides a birthday month, weddings are the best reasons to celebrate. It just gives everyone a reason to come together. Thank you Ever Pretty for getting me ready for the occasion.

START LAYERING

The weather is finally starting to cool down just a bit for me to start layering my outfits for fall. Tried doing a look for you with my coats but it was still WAY too hot to shoot in it lol so you'll have to wait. In the meantime, I'm just going to share this layering outfit with my new favorite scarf.

Fashion Tip: Banana Republic has pretty awesome sales if you just wait a little. Most of their items go on sale and they always have the additional 30%-50% off sale price promotion.

I seriously cannot wait for Fall/Winter. It's been an endless summer here in Orange County so it'd be a nice change to be able to start layering again. I'm so excited to take the scarves, coats and faux furs out again. But for now, I'll just slowly start layering with different tanks, dusters and lightweight scarves.

Fashion Tip: Pointy toe loafers are my favorite dress up flats ever in life. For those of you that are scared to try it, it actually goes well with more than you think. The Jeffrey's that I have are super soft and comfortable.

I've been in office clothes all day everyday lately that it's really nice when I get to cas it up a bit. I've had a lot of people ask me where I get my work clothes so I'll start posting my daily corporate outfits again soon. #FASHIONANDFINANCE right?! Lol. It's a crazy hectic month for me this month. Not only is it my birthday month, I have 4 weddings to attend and 4 other birthdays. There isn't enough time in a day but we do what we gotta. We make it happen!
