BLING BLANG! If you want to sparkle and shine your way into 2015, this gold dress is definitely the way to go. The style of this dress is also very flattering on most body types so you don't have to worry about love handles spilling out anywhere. (I have a ton of love handles that I always try to hide)

Fashion Tip: My first NYE option is the classic LBD but with a cut out in the middle of the dress. Classics with a modern twist like this Shop Tobi dress are perfect for NY's!

My first option for a New Year's Eve dress is the classic little black dress. It's slimming and easy to wear. I will always have a black dress as one of my options because I know it'll look good with almost anything. I added the blue statement earrings because I like the pop of color. Lastly, you can never ever go wrong with Loubs and Laurent as finishing pieces. Stay tuned for my next post for the other 2 options. I'd love to get your opinion on which one I should wear! IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas Eve everyone! As I've mentioned in my previous post, it's been a rough few weeks for me. However, that doesn't mean I'm not utterly thankful for every opportunity that's come my way. Christmas is my one of my favorite holidays because everyone puts in the effort to slow down to make time for family and friends. There's beautiful lights on every house and the happiest holiday music on the radio. It's just a wonderful time to get together and celebrate all the great people in your life.

Fashion Tip: Merry Christmas Eve everyone! That "Ugly Christmas Sweater" doesn't have to be ugly. Nothing in your closet does.

My boyfriend calls me an anomaly when he sees me wear outfits like this. He doesn't understand if I'm hot or cold, if I'm dressing for Summer or Fall. LOL. WELL. I know it's pretty annoying to people who don't live in California when I'm always talking about the weather BUT it's never really that cold over here. And if it is, it's not cold for long. I've said it in all my posts. I live in sweaters, shorts and booties. Who says you can't put them all together and make it your everyday outfit? If the weather allows it, wear it. I'm loving my Christmas sweater from AMI Clubwear. It's festive and cute and I can't get enough of it. AMI has a lot of really cute items. My only warning for you is that because of the 22398429384 things they have on their website, it'll take you some time to see everything they have to offer.

SLIP ON DRESS

I'm not really sure if this is called a SLIP ON DRESS or a tube top dress but I literally just slip on this dress when I wear it. I'm a fan of anything easy-to-wear and flowy. Lightweight material is a a huge plus too. These type of dresses are flattering for me because I don't have a lot of boobage so it kind of just hangs on my body.

Fashion Tip: When you're on-the-go constantly, you don't always have the time to plan out elaborate outfits. Slip on dresses like this one from Shop Tobi make life simple. It literally look me 6 minutes to put this whole outfit together.

It's been a tough few weeks for me. I've been studying like crazy for my Series 7 exam and I only had a few short weeks to do it in. My first attempt didn't go so well and after putting so much time and effort into my studies, it was a hard pill to swallow that I didn't score as high as I had hoped. But that doesn't mean it's the end of the line for me. I threw myself a little pity party, surrounded myself with good and positive energy and moved on. It sucks but you can't be afraid to fail because only through failure do you learn to succeed. Gotta keep that in mind and just keep moving forward.

Humble enough to know I'm not better than anyone else but wise enough to know I'm different from the rest.

OVERSIZED CROP TOP

Knitted sweaters are the key to my entire wardrobe. I will seriously get a knitted top/sweater in every color and every style if I could fit it all in my closet. Oversized, cropped or long sleeve, I love them all. I like to be comfortable and casual when I style any outfit and knitted sweaters make everyday fashion choices easy.

Fashion Tip: Because it's always Summer in California, it's good to invest in items that can be worn year-round. It it ever gets a smidgen colder here in OC, I can still throw on a moto jacket over this knitted crop to keep warm.

This is a great sweater for layering. I can wear a collared shirt underneath for that chic appeal or pair it with a long tank underneath for a more layered look. We've had a little rain here and there but for the most part, it's still pretty nice and sunny in Orange County. My uniform still consists of boyfriend jeans and sandals. Throw on a pair of stylish sunnies and call it a day.

Fashion Tip: The secret to layering? Don't be afraid to layer. Keep adding until you can't add anymore. Take some notes from Rachel Zoe and Mary Kate Olsen who are fashion icons and just start stacking and start layering. I started with the plaid top and leggings. Then I added the moto jacket and the hat. I was going to stop there until I realized I had 2 pieces of shiny jewelry I wanted combine to make a statement necklace. So I did and I ended up with this look.
