Hi everyone! So, as you know, I'm walking in the much anticipated fashion blogger fashion show on 10.10 debuting Bri Seeley's The Silence Collection. This week's Feature Friday is dedicated to the designer that is putting this whole thing together - Bri Seeley! See what The Silence Collection is all about and where her inspirations come from.
LFLL Getting Up-Close & Personal With Designer Bri Seeley
1. LFLL: Hi Bri! Thanks for taking the time to talk to me. I'm looking forward to walking in the 10.10 Fashion Show! Can you tell me a little more about what we can expect to see?
Bri: The show was conceptualized to be a bit of a contrast from the typical fashion week runway experience. The evening will include two runway presentations featuring LA fashion bloggers as the models in more of a lifestyle runway experience. The Silence Collection will also be available for exclusive pre-order at the event on www.luevo.com/briseeley - attendees will be able to buy the garments on their phones as the pieces take the runway! The VIP seats also include a gift bag valued over $200!
2. LFLL: Can you describe the Silence Collection in 3 words?
Bri: Classic, Feminine, Romantic
3. LFLL: What are some of your inspirations for the Silence Collection and why gear towards a Fashion Blogger Fashion Show?
Bri: The collection was inspired by the concept that the Bri Seeley woman does not require words to make a statement - her femininity radiates from every move she makes. I chose to use bloggers because of how women are able to relate to them. I want my customers (who are women of variety!) to be able to see themselves in the clothes. I felt like featuring women who possess a variety of heights, sizes, and ethnicities was the best way to do this!
4. LFLL: Can you talk to me about how/why you chose Step Up Women's Network as the charity to work with?
Bri: I was introduced to them through two friends who had attended their Inspiration Awards. I was lucky to be able to meet with their Director of Corporate Relations who provided me with more information about their organization. Once I learned that they had a three year long 100% national success rate for their participants graduating high school and being accepted into college.... I knew that it was an organization that I wanted to donate to! I love what they are doing on a national level to enhance the lives of women and girls!
5. LFLL: What is your definition of beauty in an industry where looks prevail? What are some characteristics you lean towards when picking and choosing your models?
Bri: The definition of beauty is very personal. We are blessed to live in a time where there is not just one definition. For me, beauty is more than just the look of a person. When I source my models, my first concern is that they look healthy. After that, it's identifying whether or not they have a unique spark - can their personality translate on the runway? do they have that undefinable *thing* that women can relate to?

Thanks Bri for taking the time to answer my questions and I'm glad I got pick your brain before the event. We hope to see you all there! You're in for an amazing show filled with some gorgeous fashion bloggers... and me. Lol!
