fashion tip friday: summer do's with blush by scarlet

I'M A MODEL! jkjk... the only type of modeling i'm allowed to do is the one where my face doesn't show! scarlet and i had a girls day in and i've been wanting her to do my hair, SO, that's what we did!

she did a waterfall braid, 3 waterfall braids then did a side pony tail with a waterfall braid. super cute summer do! thanks scarlet! oh, BTW, this is the hairstylist that did my oh so popular ombre look. can't wait for our next sesh!

first attempt at making cake pops! it was a lot harder than i thought! totally made with LOVE.

so after the blood, sweat and tears that were shed in the process of making this, i've decided that i might just be a trophy wifey instead of an all-around, hands on in the kitchen, soccer mom kinda wifey. that MIGHT just work better. seriously, i could probably burn down the kitchen!

my baby cousin isn't a baby anymore! she's turning 7 in just a few days... man how time flies. the first thing she always does when i come for a visit is raid my suitcase to see what she can play with. playing dress up is one of her favorite things to do. she is an absolute pro at posing and standing still in my sky high heels! can't wait to have my own baby girl to dress up... lol.

SO! i've been looking for these sunglasses for like ever now. the cat eye and the uber mary-kate and ashley/nicole richie black bug-eyed oval sungalsses. i found these 2 amazing styles at the ocfairgrounds at an AMAZING deal! i love when you can stumble upon great finds at the most random place.

tip: keep your eyes open for that one great find!

one of those days.. talk a walk. think things through. re-evaluate your decisions, your path.. appreciate everything that's happened in your life and love the people in it. i came across a quote that caught my eye as if it were studded louboutins.. "We feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. But as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. We are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. It means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so."

everyone needs to have days like this.. think about things, feel some feelings, deal with them and move on.

flashback friday: MPD - New Orleans

my photo diary from New Orleans! some of the sights and food from the Mardi Gras state:


i tried alligator and escargo and let me tell you.. that will be the first and last time i ever eat those. it wasn't terrible, but totally not my cup of tea. i'll stick with my sushi, in n out and chipotle.

i went to New Orleans for a work conference, but it was a great chance to see what NO was all about. i definitely want to go back next year for Mardi Gras to at least see what that's like!
