introducing... the invisible shoe by andreia chaves
the invisible shoe has a mirrored surface that blends in with any environment. this is an amazingly cool shoe and i would totally rock it!

i am my own photographer today

who needs a fancy camera when you can do it all by yourself. it was a boring day and i decided to do a mini photoshoot in my room. helloooo webcam!

talia and i went on a coffee run and found this spot. she always has her camera on her (that's why she's my photographer!) so we did a mini photoshoot of what i was already wearing. i guess it doesn't hurt to wear something you can always be photographed in.

work in progress

Friday, January 21, 2011

i'm on my 324th pair of shoes. ultimate shoe goal is this right here. i want them all.
[christina aguilera, inTouch magazine]

i know this is geeky of me .. BUT

i have loved monica rose long before she blew up as kim k's stylist. i've blogged about her awhile back and she replied to me on twitter! lol i have to admit, i was pretty excited. i'm such a dweeb. however, YAY me!

hello fanny pack

fanny packs that you're allowed to wear without looking like a tourist. they have hermes and pucci belted purses! oh sigh. i originally got my louis vuitton fanny because i am lazy and i hate carrying my purse everywhere but it's proven to be an amazing purchase. i use the pouch separately as a wallet, the belt as a bracelet and together as a fanny, so it's like a 3-in-1! i definitely have my eye on the hermes one!

shoes > men

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

1. You can pick the size

You can try on different sizes to find the one that fits. If you, however, make a mistake, your new shoes won’t feel bad if you replace them for bigger ones. Now, if replacements are not allowed you can always give them to your sister or a best friend and feel good knowing that you’ve just made one girl very happy.

2. You can have as many as you want

You are free to drool over the gorgeous pair you’ve just walked by without having to face the anger of the pair you are already wearing. Nobody will call you names if you have more than one pair, you won’t risk having bad reputation if people see you with new ones every day, they won’t try to kill each other and they won’t make you choose.

3. No surprises

The chances of leaving them at home only to find them in your neighbor’s shoe closet are close to zero but even if that happens it won’t be their fault and it definitely won’t mean she’s hotter than you.

4. They come with a certificate and a money back guarantee

With shoes, you never have to worry about getting a “wolf in sheepskin” or “seeing their true colors” because everything you need to know has already been written on the box. If they break or turn out to be worse than you have expected, you can always return them, get your money back and an apology as a bonus!

5. Shoes don’t come with a “history”

You are the first, the last and the only woman in their life. They don’t have exes, attachment issues, or skeletons in the closet. In fact, the only bad thing that might happen is realizing that they are not as comfortable as you thought they would be.

6. Shoes don’t have overprotective mommies

The person who made your shoes won’t try to lecture you how to wear or take care of them justifying that with hours of hard labor.

7. They don’t complain

Your favorite pair of sandals won’t feel the need to have “a serious talk with you” despite the fact that you haven’t touched them in a year or more. You can even wear the same pair every day and they won’t call you “ needy” or ask to give them “some space”.

8. They are easier to “break in”

You can ask your mom, sister or a best friend to do this for you. You can even take them to your shoe-repair guy and ask him to put your new babies on a machine made especially for that. And, most importantly, once you finally break them in they won’t run away to another girl’s shoe closet!

9. They are reliable

They don’t have loser friends, they won’t embarrass you in public and they won’t change the channel in the middle of your favorite TV show. Champion’s League doesn’t mean a lot to them so you won’t have to memorize dates and times for all the big games to know whether or not you can count on them.

10. Finding the perfect match is much easier
[bakers faux fur vest + fur lined booties, h&m military green pants, tory burch cuff]

one week. seven days. one sixty eight hours.

day 7: feelin the love

i'm auntie jo! i was considering buying her but i am never home and i'm not sure if i have the time to take care of her, so for now i'm ok with just being auntie. she didn't have a name so i named her chloe! she's the most adorable little puppy i've ever seen!

day 4: DIE-t

Sunday, January 16, 2011

day 4:
i'm trying to give up carbs for a week or longer so i've put myself on the chipotle steak salad diet. so far i've been doing well, but it's getting harder and harder to avoid the yummy carbs.. appetizing, isn't it?

Friday, January 14, 2011

[u.o beanie, f21 top, h&m bag, custom half gloves, aldo wedges, vintage aviators and my oh so deelish cup of coffee]
i do a coffee run every morning every day of my life. starbucks gift cards are my fave! it's my drug. i've become a regular at the location across the street from my house as well as my pit stop before work. haven't you heard? don't talk to me until after i've had my coffee. everything else can wait, thanks.

day 2: black and yellow

day 2:
i call these the bumble bee sneakers. i'm in love with the colors and now every time i see them i can't help but sing that song! black&yellow black&yellow..

365 - day 1

Thursday, January 13, 2011

i got this really cute idea from my friend erikamissey and it's called the 365 day picture challenge. basically, i'll just be posting a picture a day for a year. it sounded so interesting i decided to see if i can accomplish this challenge. i think it's going to be a lot harder than it sounds to maintain so wish me luck!

day 1:
decisions decisions..
red, or black?

ready to get my summer on.

break of dawn

Wednesday, January 12, 2011

[audrey lace shorts, h&m bag + braided belt, aldo wedges, bakers ring]
my daily go to outfits are usually non-fussy and comfortable.
this was right before my last minute christmas shopping adventure at south coast plaza and luckily for me, those aldo wedges are amazingly comfortable to walk in!

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” —Steve Jobs
